Hello and welcome to season 2020-2021!
I trust that you are all well and keeping safe.
Please remember, It is not over til it’s over, so keep up the good work by abiding by the messages to Stop the Spread.
PRE-SEASON SCHEDULE RELEASED for Div 1,2 & 3 players
Our new Club Coach, Darren Roberts, has recently met with our Sunday Seniors squad (Div 1, 2 & prospective Div 3 players).
He has laid out our pre-season training schedule for this squad and is looking forward to a prosperous season.
All squad trainings are on Sundays starting in August from 10AM at our Club grounds.
Pitchers and Catchers will start on the 19th and 26th of July. He looks forward to seeing you all for a good start.
MASSIVE GROUND MAINTENANCE SESSION – SATURDAY, JULY 4!
Starting from 10am on this coming Saturday, the Fourth of July, we shall begin refurbishing our grounds.
With no Winter Baseball being played this season, we have a unique opportunity to start work early on both of our grounds.
This session will see the squaring up of the cut-outs and levelling of the ‘lips’ formed on the cut-out edges.
Gavin Payne and Co have been busy working on laying out the diamonds ready for the sod cutter to lift the grass so we can dig out the dirt to level the ground -and replace the grass.
While our main focus is on the Main Diamond, the top ground has, also, been laid out for upgrades as well. Cut outs there are laid out to be made regulation size.
Hopefully, we can get enough bodies to get a good start on this big project.
It is a massive undertaking, so hope you will make time to attend. Bring your shovels -and wheelbarrows- if you have them.
A sausage sizzle and refreshments will be provided for the worker bees. Hope to see you there.
TROPHIES, MEDALS AND PHOTOS PICK UP – JULY 4
For those that missed picking up your medals, photos, and/or trophies, they will be available between 11am and 1pm on Saturday, July 4 at the Club veranda.
Covid protocol will be adhered to on the day. You must sign in and use the hand sanitizer to enter the veranda with social distancing to be followed.
