Hi Everyone,
A few announcements are in order at this Autumnal time of the year.
While most of you are into winter sports and far from the baseball diamond, never the less, baseball does go on 😊
GGCD ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING DATE ANNOUNCED: 17 JUNE 2021
Please note that our AGM will be held on Thursday, 17 June 2021 in our Clubrooms from 7pm.
The Annual Report will be presented on the night along with refreshments.
Most Directorships will be up for nominations except for Director of Finance (Sharee) and Director of Grants and Sponsorships (Liv).
Life Member nominations will also be announced on the night.
Descriptions of Director’s portfolios and forms for Life Membership will be posted soon. Please consider.
Our Chairman is stepping down and our new Chairman will be nominated from the then, current Board members.

GGCD JUNIOR BASEBALL ACADEMY
All Junior divisions are catered for from keen 8 year olds (from T-Ball U10s) U11s thru to U15s – includes U13s and U14 Divisions.
Bring along your glove and a hat – and a desire to be there!
We have a great program lined up with our coaching staff headed up by Steve Whitehead with Brandon (Dipper) Diplock, Matt Burns and others involved.

First of all, at the top right of the screen you will see MEMBER LOGIN, click on that and put in your username and password – the one you picked when you registered.

Once you have logged in – DO NOT REGISTER AGAIN – click on the HOME ‘button’ under the Dodgers logo –
There you will see the UPCOMING EVENTS ‘button’, click on that and then, click on ‘REGISTER’ for the Academy. Follow the prompts to select the quantity and credit/debit card details.
Tickets are $90 each and payment must be made via this database so that your player is registered, no other payment option is available.
If you have any issues, please call Sharee on 0429 676 581 after 4pm Weekdays or FB message.
Tell your teammates about it to be sure they don’t miss out.

‘SURREY DOWNS WINTER BASEBALL’ IS UNDERWAY!
Roger Prime has once again provided this program for all to enjoy.
I call it ‘Picnic Baseball’ where players just come out, have a hit and some fun.
We have eight teams this season playing on Saturdays at 11:30am and 2pm – a 14 Round season.
The Canteen and Bar is open for all to enjoy too 😊
Roger has been keeping this Winter Ball trophy (seen below) with each season’s winners since before the Dodger’s were formed!
(By the way, Roger was one of the Founding Fathers of our Club back in 1990.)
Our Club’s winter program was started in 1996 and we changed our name several years ago to the
Surrey Downs Winter Baseball Club to distinguish us from the Summer club.
Come out and say ‘Hello’ if you get the chance.
It’s a fun day!
