Hi Everyone,
Here we are at the pointy end of the season with five of our teams continuing in the playoffs.
While our Div 1 team finished with a notable eighth place just behind seventh Woodville, it was far better than we had expected.
With a slow start at the start of the season, our young team made a late run toward the end of the season from our start at the bottom.
DR (Darren Roberts) our new Div 1 Coach, brought them along beyond expectations.
Well done, Coach! Watch out next season!!!
Just a note, AJ lead the league by a country mile with 159 K2s! Well done, AJ!
Our WBL Div 2 GGCD team is going to the Grand Final this coming Friday at Kensington from 6pm.
Kensington (1) had one loss during their season and Ethan’s team (2) took the W on that one. 😊
It will be a great night at Kensy with the weather cooperating with a warm evening.
See you there to cheer on our Ladies!
Our Div 4 GGCD (2) Matt’s team will be playing at Glenelg (1) on Saturday from 3pm.
Brandon will start us off on the mound followed by Whitey with Kirby behind the dish.
Our hitters will provide the rest of the entertainment.
Come along and enjoy fun!
Sunday will see three of our Junior team’s playoff for a spot in the Grand Final games next week.
Our Little League Div 2 – 13/2 GGCD, Minor League / U11 GGCD and Minor League / U11 Dodgers teams will be busy that morning.
Danun’s U13/2 team (4) will play off at Northern Districts (1) from 11am.
Shane/Michelle’s U11 team (4) will play at Port Adelaide (1) from 10am and
Matt’s U11 team will play Henley & Grange at HOME from 10am.

ARMCHAIR UMPIRE – YOU MAKE THE CALL
Situation: Runner on first. No outs. The batter smashes a line drive back up the middle.
The Pitchers stabs at it with his glove hand, but only manages to deflect it onto the ground toward second.
The second baseman charges in to field the ball as the runner from First accidentally collides with him.
The second baseman had a legitimate chance of retiring the batter/runner. Who is out? (answer below)

50 CLUB WINNERS
Thank you to all who supported this in-house Club fundraiser. A bit of fun while raising funds for our Club.
Ten weekly draws for $50 with a Grand final draw at the end of it all.
Last Saturday night, the 50 CLUB Grand Final Social Event was a Reverse Draw that took place to decide this round of winners.
Richard Bastian, the smiling assassin (as we call him 😊), once again made three members happy on the night.
Forty-Seven others made off with various prizes and free drinks for the night! Third prize of $100 went to Kory Christensen,
the Second prize of $300 went to Jodie Balzan (again a finals winner) and the Grand Prize of $700 went to Ron Murphy.
And thanks to Steve Conry who organises the 50 Club fundraiser, all the prizes and fun along the way.
Well done, Steve! Cheers.

well as introducing our 2021 Charter teams AND followed by the Women’s Division 1 Grand Final.
Free entry – please register attendance due to COVID restrictions.

Due to our successful fundraising and Club support to our functions,
our Club will subsidize $50 of the $98 Capp’s Medal Dinner ticket!
You pay only $48 for Baseball’s Night of Nights which includes pre-dinner drinks and three course meal.

6:30pm – 8:30pm.
All the family is invited to attend this FREE Dodger event and have a swim in their heated pools and slides – all exclusive to our members and their families.
Please let your Coach know if you are attending and how many are coming along.
Numbers are needed for Life Guard Duty numbers. Presentation schedule TBA.
