We hope you are enjoying your off-season, whether participating in winter sport, baseball or having a break.
The club has a few updates we need to communicate, there will be a newsletter shortly as well with more ongoings around the club.
COACHING UPDATE – DIVISION 1 STATE LEAGUE
As previously communicated to the club at the end of last season, Darren Roberts was appointed to continue his program for the upcoming season however this past week informed the club of his resignation as the club’s Head Coach.
The club thanks Darren for his service and dedication to our club over the past several seasons with our Division 1 program and the work he has put in with the wider squad and across the club as a whole.
The club has made the decision to appoint Reed Brown as interim Head Coach.
Reed is well known around the club and has been involved in the club for a number of seasons, as a player and coach in our senior Division 1 squad and also our junior program, and the club will look to support Reed to succeed in his appointment.
Reed has now met with the senior playing group over the weekend and will communicate with these players directly around the program into preseason and the regular season.
ACADEMIES
Due to the closure of mega courts this year, the location of our off-season Junior and Women’s academies, the club has been sourcing alternative venues that meet our needs.
The club is currently still finalizing information this, and likely will be conducted in August. We will advise information as soon as confirmed.
AGM
Reminder that the club’s Annual General Meeting will be held at 7pm on Thursday, 22 June 2023.
Please consider what help you may be able to provide the club in the upcoming season. Agenda will be sent this week via email.
We have a number of junior charter players that have or still are participating in national tournaments, stay tuned via Facebook for continuing updates on these players. We wish them all the best of luck!
