Dear members,
We are getting into pre-season now for all teams and it feels like baseball is in the air. Unfortunately, the weather has not been our friend to allow us to be on track with some of our goals, but we are progressing to where we need to be.
On Sunday, 18 September 2022 Gavin Payne will be hosting another impromptu working bee for anyone that is available from 10am to get through some of the outstanding jobs. Weather permitting, but we hope to get some final jobs completed.
Please ensure you follow us on Facebook and join our members group to be kept up to date with information as it happens. Information is at the bottom of this email.

It’s nearly that time of the year! We will once again be hosting our program for Under 8s and Under 10s to get involved in T-Ball. T-Ball is a great introduction for bat and ball sports, and many of our club’s players started out in our T-Ball program or it’s predecessors.
Come and Try dates will be on 17 and 21 October from 6pm. Tell your family and friends and spread the word!

Registration
Reminder that club registrations are now open, please see the attached flyer for important registration information.
If you are transferring to GGCD Baseball Club you must re-register at your old club first. Follow the steps in the flyer and contact Sharee Forrester at baseball@sharee.com.au if any issues.
Juniors pay for the age they are classed in by the league, however they could be playing in a higher grade at our club. If the league classes your child as T-Ball age, but they are playing Under 11s, do not register and contact Sharee Forrester directly.

Hats will be on sale at the club bar only during training dates and at events.
Import Accommodation
We have two imports this season that the club is having in our Division One program. The squad and the club is looking forward to their arrival. We will introduce them further as they arrive from overseas more formally to the club. These players will be visible around the club, and assisting in parts of our junior program throughout this season.
The club has been contacting members directly, but we are also looking for more options if required. If you have a spare room that you would be interested in billeting out for a period of time for some or all of the period the player is here. The club will work with you for associated costs, and is working on having transportation available for the player.
Russell Strilchuk has most recently played in Germany, and Kenjiro Sugiura is coming from playing in France. Stay tuned for more formal introductions on these players shortly.
We look forward to your continued involvement in our club, stay tuned for more updates.
