Dear members,
Thank you to all who attended last night. It was a little cold but we persevered and the club is look forward to what is to come this season.
A couple updates from last night.
LIFE MEMBERSHIP
At the club’s AGM last night we welcomed Matthew Burns as a life member of the GGCD Baseball Club.
Matthew Burns was one of the original junior and senior players of the Golden Grove Baseball Club in 1990 before the merger with Central Districts, and has a long history associated as a player, leader and coach throughout senior and junior teams.
Matt finally got to hold up the premiership flag this past season with the Division 8 and Under 13/1 teams.
Matt along with his wife Joanne, were administratively involved with Rookies Little League when it was a separate entity to our club, and was part of the amalgamation process into the baseball club.
More recently involved with Marlins charter and always willing to put his hand up whenever required around the club.
Matthew Burns is an example of exceptional commitment, leadership and service and we will welcome him to the wider GGCD Life Membership family.
Congratulations Matt and look forward to what is still to come!

The new board will formally elect a Chairperson for the 2023-24 at their first meeting after the AGM.
