Dear members,
Just a quick update for a few things happening around the club this week.
There will be a pre-season training session on Saturday, 24 September for those that can make it at the below time. Due to inadequate weather this pre-season so far, and the Season Launch and Home Run Derby on Sunday, we are offering this session for players that are available. We are aware this day and date will not suit all players.
Gavin Payne, our Director of Equipment, House and Grounds will also be hosting another working bee tomorrow 22 September 2022 for those that can make it.
Please ensure you follow us on Facebook and join our members group to be kept up to date with information as it happens. Information is at the bottom of this email.

At 12pm there will be a trial game for our Division 1 squad, so stick around and watch and you’ll be able to see the talent the club has at the top level.
There will be a Champion awarded in each Junior age grade, as well as a Senior Champion. Player registrations will be advertised and open for a limited time only next week! Stay tuned on Facebook for this.
Scorers Clinics
The scorers clinic for tonight, 21 September, has unfortunately been cancelled.
Can you please contact our Scorer’s Delegate, Vicky West on vicky.west@bigpond.com, if you are intending to come to these sessions and she will provide you with some additional information to get you started.
We will look to continue these the following week, please note that every team must have a scorer or no game will be able to go ahead.
Umpire Clinics
Our club’s Umpire Co-ordinator, Shane Quinn, has organise an umpire clinic at our grounds on Tuesday, 4 October at 7pm for prospective umpires.
This will be hosted by Blake Halligan from BUASA, and aimed at improving your knowledge of the game and be confident in umpiring.
If you are interested please advise the club or Shane so we know who to expect.
Registration
Reminder that club registrations are now open, please see the attached flyer for important registration information.
If you are transferring to GGCD Baseball Club you must re-register at your old club first. Follow the steps in the flyer and contact Sharee Forrester at baseball@sharee.com.au if any issues.
Juniors pay for the age they are classed in by the league, however they could be playing in a higher grade at our club. If the league classes your child as T-Ball age, but they are playing Under 11s, do not register and contact Sharee Forrester directly.

Ground work and working bee
The council has been working this week to top-dress the ground with masses of sand, getting a good soak in the rain this week.
Gavin Payne needs more help for tomorrow, 22 September, to finalise some items on the ground from 10am. There is potential the grounds will not be ready for the weekend if we do not get this work completed.
Please stay tuned on our Facebook group for any updates to the status of this working bee if weather is still not accommodating.
We look forward to your continued involvement in our club, stay tuned for more updates.
